‘X-Men’ Star Samara Weaving and Olivia Wilde Serve Cool-Girl Style on a Stylish London Dinner Night
Few things make a celebrity outing more fun than catching two busy stars off duty. This week, Samara Weaving’s London dinner outing offered exactly that, a relaxed evening out in a city where she has been spending time.
It was the kind of night that doesn’t need a red carpet to get people talking. The outfits did the work on their own.
Weaving has been having a whirlwind year. The Australian actress, known as a modern scream queen after ‘Ready or Not’ in 2019, followed that with ‘Ready or Not 2: Here I Come’ in 2026. Her other recent projects include ‘Carolina Caroline’, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and ‘Over Your Dead Body’.
She has also been tied to a major superhero project, with reports that she has been cast as Emma Frost in Marvel’s ‘X-Men’ reboot. On the personal side, she and her husband, writer-director Jimmy Warden, welcomed their first baby earlier this year, with Weaving stepping out in Los Angeles in late May.

Weaving was recently seen heading out for dinner in London with Olivia Wilde and a group of friends. Photos from the evening show the pair leaving the restaurant after dark, each with her own distinctive take on London-in-autumn dressing.
Weaving wore a long black leather coat with a fur-trimmed collar over a striped top, paired with black wide-leg trousers. She added a bright pop of color with a yellow box-style handbag, which stood out against the dark street and her otherwise moody palette.
Wilde went in a more relaxed direction while still looking put together. She wore a long grey herringbone coat over a dark top with light-wash jeans and boots, and she carried a tan leather bag tucked under her arm.
The contrast between the two looks made them easy to like. One was sleek and glamorous, the other casual and tailored, and both fit the cool October evening in London.
Wilde has plenty to celebrate. She directed and stars in ‘The Invite’, a dinner-party comedy-drama with Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 24, 2026, to positive reviews and opened in the United States on June 26, 2026.
A London special screening of ‘The Invite’ took place recently, with Greta Gerwig and Rashida Jones, who co-wrote the film, in attendance. Wilde is also set to appear opposite Pedro Pascal in Tony Gilroy’s next film, ‘Behemoth!’, at Searchlight, and she appears in ‘I Want Your Sex’, directed by Gregg Araki.
Weaving and Warden met on the set of ‘The Babysitter’, where she played the lead role of Bee and he worked as a writer and producer. They kept their relationship quiet for a time, and she later confirmed in an interview that they were married.
Warden directed ‘Borderline’, a horror-comedy released in 2025 that starred Weaving. The couple has said they try not to go more than two and a half or three weeks apart when their jobs separate them.
Part of the appeal is how rare they are. Both actresses are busy with demanding projects, and candid photos like these give fans a different view of their style.
Weaving’s black leather and bright accessory pairing is also a useful reminder of how a single bold detail can transform a dark outfit. Wilde’s tailored coat and jeans combination shows that relaxed dressing can still look polished.
With Weaving’s career expanding and Wilde juggling directing and acting, it’s no surprise they would want an evening off. What did you think of Samara Weaving’s black leather and yellow clutch look in London, and who wore it better, Samara or Olivia? Let us know in the comments.
