Netflix has just released a new video game called “Blood Line,” inspired by Zack Snyder’s sci-fi film series Rebel Moon. This game lets players join a rebellion against an evil empire and is available for free to anyone with a Netflix subscription. It’s made by Super Evil Megacorp, the same team behind titles like “Vainglory” and “Catalyst Black.”

But while fans are exploring this new game, many are wondering if Snyder’s movies will continue. Right now, Snyder himself isn’t sure. He’s currently working on a new action movie about the LAPD SWAT team, also for Netflix.

Talking about the future of his sci-fi world, Snyder told Variety: “I got sidetracked into this — not sidetracked, it’s all uptown problems, as they say — for Netflix, I’m working on an LAPD SWAT movie. So I was like, OK, well, I’m gonna just sort of let that ‘Rebel Moon’ world boil for a minute, and I’m gonna go do this. And frankly, it was a very exhausting, long process doing the two movies together. So it was nice to have a bit of a break from it. I love it like crazy, but it’s nice to have a bit of a break. So yeah, we’ll see after I finish this, when I come back, where we are with everything.”

When asked whether any future movies were already written, Snyder said there are plenty of ideas waiting. “There’s tons of stories. So, I mean, I think it’s literally, it’s endless. But, again, like I say, I’m waiting to see how we want to and in what way we would move forward, if at all.”

During the interview, Snyder was also asked about James Gunn’s new “Superman” movie, which had just hit theaters. Snyder admitted he hadn’t seen it yet. “This weekend I don’t think I’m seeing it because I have a horse show — my kids ride horses — but I’m going to try to see it right after that.”

Meanwhile, critics haven’t been kind to Snyder’s Rebel Moon franchise. According to Rotten Tomatoes, only 16% of critics gave positive reviews to Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, and the average score was very low.

Metacritic gave it a score of 35 out of 100, marking it as poorly received. Many critics thought the story was dull and messy. Some reviewers said the movies were slow, boring, and full of weak moments. A few did mention that the big battle scenes were decent, but overall the response was mostly negative.

Even with the bad reviews, Snyder still seems open to returning to the franchise someday. But for now, he’s taking a break from that universe and focusing on his new LAPD movie.
