Spider-Man is coming to Magic: The Gathering. The famous superhero will appear in the Universes Beyond series from Wizards of the Coast, which brings characters from movies, games, and comics into the card game. This new set is set to release on September 26.

Unlike some previous crossovers, this set does more than just feature Spider-Man. It also brings in his world, including villains and powerful companies that are part of his story. Collider has shared details about three of the new cards from the set, each reflecting a different part of Spider-Man’s universe.

One card, called Strength of Will, is an Instant card that highlights Spider-Man’s perseverance. It gives a creature indestructibility and adds +1/+1 counters depending on the damage prevented. This makes it useful in decks that focus on surviving tough battles and growing stronger over time.

Another card, Rocket-Powered Goblin Glider, refers to Norman Osborn’s dangerous weapon. It is an Equipment card that gives +2/+0, flying, and haste, letting a creature attack quickly from the air. The card can return from the graveyard, showing how Osborn always seems to come back. It also has a special Mayhem ability that supports aggressive strategies.

The third card, Oscorp Industries, represents the powerful company behind many of Spider-Man’s challenges. It is a Land card that comes into play tapped and penalizes its owner if it is replayed from the graveyard. This shows the risk that comes with using Oscorp’s resources.

Together, these cards bring the Spider-Man world to Magic: The Gathering, from Peter Parker’s determination to Osborn’s tricks and Oscorp’s influence. The new set will be available soon and can already be preordered.

Personally, I think it’s exciting to see Spider-Man added to Magic: The Gathering. The cards seem well-designed and reflect the character’s story in a fun way. What do you think about this crossover? Share your thoughts in the comments!
