The drama series Landman is making its way back to Paramount+ this fall, and the new trailer shows the story is about to get even more intense.

The streamer has set November 16, 2025, as the date for the first episode of season two, with new chapters rolling out every week.

The last season ended with a shocking twist when Jon Hamm’s character, Monty Miller, was killed. That left Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, in charge of both the business and the fallout that came with it.

This time around, the spotlight shifts to Demi Moore, who steps in as Monty’s widow, Cami. She is ready to fight for her place in the company, making it clear in the trailer: “The only difference between me and my husband is I’m meaner.” Thornton’s Tommy doesn’t hold back either, saying, “She owns the company, but I run it.” Their battle for power looks set to drive much of the new season.

The trailer also introduced a big new face to the cast. Sam Elliott joins the show, reuniting with creator Taylor Sheridan after working with him on 1883.

Elliott comes into an already strong group that includes Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, and Jacob Lofland. Larter’s character Angela is shown reconnecting with Tommy, while Randolph’s Ainsley is preparing to leave for college, bringing personal tension to the family side of the story.

Larter hinted that the season is going to be full of twists, calling it “a rollercoaster.” One of the main storylines puts Tommy in a risky alliance with a cartel leader played by Andy Garcia. The trailer teases fights not just in the oil fields but also in the boardroom, promising the same kind of high-stakes drama the series is known for.

Landman comes from Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace and is based on the Boomtown podcast. Sheridan also serves as an executive producer along with David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, and others. The series is backed by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Sheridan’s Bosque Ranch Productions.

With Moore’s Cami stepping up, Elliott joining the cast, and Thornton’s Tommy caught between family drama and cartel dangers, season two looks set to dive deeper into power struggles and betrayal. Viewers can catch the premiere only on Paramount+ starting November 16.

This new season looks like it’s going to raise the stakes in every way. Moore and Thornton’s on-screen rivalry feels like it could carry the season, and adding Elliott and Garcia makes the cast even stronger.
