Hideo Kojima & Jordan Peele’s ‘OD’ Debuts First Full Trailer
Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele’s mysterious horror game OD has finally dropped a proper trailer, giving fans the first real look at what’s coming.
The game is being made by Kojima Productions and published by Xbox Game Studios, and it has been described as a spiritual successor to the cancelled Silent Hills. It stars Sophia Lillis, Hunter Schafer, and Udo Kier.
The new trailer, shown during Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary event on September 23, featured Sophia Lillis’s character and revealed a creepy subtitle: Knock.
Kojima explained that the game will be built around different kinds of fears, even something as simple as the sound of knocking. He also mentioned that Peele will bring in “a different kind of fear.”

From the start, Kojima has been upfront about his ambitions with OD. He said he wants to use Xbox’s cloud gaming technology to create “a very unique, immersive, and totally new style of game—or rather, a new form of media.” According to him, the project is “avant-garde” and may take decades to be fully understood. “People will [either] love it or hate it,” he said in an interview back in August.
The game’s history has already been a rollercoaster. The partnership with Xbox was first revealed back in 2022.
That same year, footage leaked online showing a nurse in a hospital carrying a flashlight before the words “GAMEOVER” and “OVERDOSE” appeared. Kojima and Peele later showed a teaser at The Game Awards 2023, confirming the project to the public.
Production hit a pause in late 2024 due to the SAG-AFTRA video game strike, but Kojima Productions confirmed work resumed in July 2025 after Death Stranding 2 was finished. Now, with the new trailer out, OD is once again in the spotlight and setting the stage for a very strange and ambitious horror experience.
