PS5’s Top-Selling Game of 2025 Drops to 50% Off in PlayStation Store Sale

Forza Horizon 5, the best-selling PS5 game of 2025, is now available at its biggest discount yet.

The popular racing game, which launched on PlayStation 5 on April 29, originally cost $60. Thanks to the Tokyo Game Show 2025 sale on the PlayStation Store, the price has now been slashed to $29.99, making it the lowest it has ever retailed for on PS5.

Forza Horizon 5 was developed by Playground Games and published by Xbox Game Studios.

It is the fifth main Forza Horizon title and the twelfth entry in the overall Forza series. The game is set in a fictional version of Mexico and was first released on Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S back on November 9, 2021. Its release on PS5 marked the first time a mainline Forza game became available outside of Xbox and PC platforms.

The game was a major success both commercially and critically. It reached over 10 million players in its first week, marking the biggest launch in Xbox Game Studios history.

Critics also praised the game, with Forza Horizon 5 winning IGN’s Game of the Year award, three jury-voted awards at the 2021 Game Awards, tying with It Takes Two for most wins, and Racing Game of the Year at the 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards.

This discount gives PS5 players a chance to jump into one of the most acclaimed racing games in recent years. For fans who haven’t yet played it, now might be the perfect time.
