A new teaser has been released for Vince Gilligan’s latest series, Pluribus (stylized as PLUR1BUS), which will stream on Apple TV+.

The project brings Gilligan back together with Rhea Seehorn, who takes the lead role after their work together on Better Call Saul.

The series is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and tells the story of an author named Carol Sturka. She is the only person who does not get affected by a strange virus spreading across people.

The virus makes everyone who catches it permanently cheerful and positive, leaving Carol isolated in a world that seems unnaturally happy.

Apple gave the green light to two full seasons from the start, showing major confidence in the project. The first season will have nine episodes, beginning with a two-episode premiere on November 7. New episodes will then arrive every Friday until the end of December.

The main cast includes Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga alongside Seehorn. Guest appearances will feature Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte.

Gilligan first began developing the show in 2022, after wrapping up Better Call Saul. Apple TV+ picked up the series soon after, beating out other bidders. Work on the scripts hit a delay during the Writers Guild of America strike in 2023, but the writing team came back later that year to finish the season.

Filming took place in Albuquerque from early 2024 until September of the same year. The show had a working title of Wycaro 339 during production before officially being revealed as Pluribus in July.

Now with the teaser out, fans finally get their first look at Gilligan’s new vision. Apple is presenting Pluribus as a mix of science fiction and drama, with Seehorn in the spotlight.
