Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi plays Dek, the young outcast Predator, while Elle Fanning takes on dual roles as Thia, a legless Weyland-Yutani synth who allies with Dek, and Tessa, a perfect-condition synth opposing their mission. Fanning also portrays several other Wey-Yu synths in the film.

Unlike previous films, the Predator is the protagonist in this story. Dek’s physical appearance is brought to life through a combination of practical effects by Studio Gillis and digital motion capture to enhance subtle emotional expressions.

Wētā Workshop also contributed to the film’s practical effects and designs. The movie even features the Weyland-Yutani Corporation from the Alien franchise, tying it to the broader universe.
