Marvel Animation confirmed during New York Comic Con that “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” will return for a second season on Disney+ in fall 2026.

Fans at the event were treated to an exclusive trailer that teased what’s next for the young web-slinger — and it looks like things are about to get much darker.

The sneak peek revealed that Venom will make his debut in Season 2, along with the arrival of Gwen Stacy. Charlie Cox is also coming back to voice Daredevil, while Norman and Harry Osborn will once again play key roles.

Classic Spider-Man villains such as Doctor Octopus, Chameleon, and Scorpion were also shown, hinting that Peter Parker’s next chapter will be packed with major threats.

Hudson Thames returns as the voice of Peter Parker. The animated show, which first premiered on Disney+ earlier this year, takes place in a different universe from the live-action Spider-Man played by Tom Holland in the MCU.

This version of Peter is mentored not by Tony Stark, but by Norman Osborn, voiced by Colman Domingo. In this timeline, Norman isn’t a supervillain—at least not yet—but the CEO of Oscorp who gives Peter and his friends internships that might not be as innocent as they seem.

Peter’s circle also looks a bit different in this universe. Instead of Mary Jane and Ned, his closest friends are Harry Osborn, who is a popular online influencer, and Nico Minoru, a classmate with magical powers.

Other returning characters include Aunt May, voiced by Kari Wahlgren, and a young version of Tombstone, voiced by Eugene Byrd.

Season 1 left fans with several unanswered questions. The finale saw Doctor Strange, voiced by Robert Atkin Downes, helping Spider-Man battle the Venom symbiote from another dimension.

In the closing moments, Norman Osborn secretly kept a sample of the symbiote for his own experiments, and it was revealed that Peter’s father, Richard Parker, is actually alive and imprisoned.

With Venom’s arrival and new faces joining the story, Season 2 looks ready to dive deeper into Peter’s personal and heroic struggles.
