Krysten Ritter Accidentally Leaks ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 Trailer on Instagram
Krysten Ritter, best known for playing Jessica Jones, might have accidentally given fans more than they expected after the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 panel at New York Comic Con 2025.
The actress, who joined Charlie Cox on stage, has been very active on her Instagram, sharing all kinds of photos and clips from the event. But among the many posts she shared, one of them stood out, a short fan-recorded video that turned out to include a glimpse of the Season 2 trailer for Daredevil: Born Again.
The trailer, which officially premiered only for those attending the Comic Con panel, has not yet been released online. But thanks to Ritter’s repost, fans who follow her on Instagram got a tiny peek at it. The short clip mostly focused on Jessica Jones’ long-awaited return to the Marvel series, but it also teased some exciting moments from the upcoming season.

In the leaked footage, Jessica is back in action, just as sharp and tough as ever. She’s seen in her signature dark outfit, throwing a villain across the room with barely any effort. Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin, makes an appearance too, looking more powerful than ever as he continues his ruthless control over New York City.
The trailer also shows Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen, and even hints at the surprise return of Foggy Nelson, who was believed to be dead after the first episode of Season 1.
Actor Matthew Lillard will also be joining the cast as a new character named Mr. Charles. He’s described as a political figure and one of Fisk’s main rivals. Brad Winderbaum, Head of Marvel TV, explained a bit more about what’s coming in Season 2.
“The story is about power. When Wilson Fisk takes over New York, not just as a mayor but as a king in a way, it puts him in a new class of power players on the international stage. Matthew Lillard’s character represents that,” he said.
There’s even more reason to be excited, Winderbaum also revealed that Daredevil: Born Again will tie into the next Spider-Man movie. This news has made fans even more eager for the show’s release, which is expected to arrive in March 2026.
Charlie Cox also gave fans some hints about what to expect from his character this season. “[Matt and Fisk] made a pact at the beginning of season 1, which was one of the great scenes we shot in that season,” Cox said. “By the time we get to season 2, that deal is off the table. All bets are off. The world has changed a lot for Matt and Super Heroes in general. It’s a much more sinister world for people who are trying to do the right thing.”
Cox also mentioned how much he enjoys working with Vincent D’Onofrio, despite their intense on-screen rivalry. “Shockingly, Vincent and I are very good friends off screen,” he laughed. “So the longer we get to keep making [this show] the better.”
Krysten Ritter spoke about returning to her role after so many years away from it. “It was surreal but also as if no time had passed,” she said. “I love Charlie so much as a person. I love being with him and acting with him, and I love playing these characters. It felt big and celebratory and larger than life.”
Cox added that having Ritter back brought new energy to the show. “It’s so exciting to have Kristen back and to have JJ in the show,” he said. “But as soon as I read that, I was like, ‘Great, there’s going to be a lot of snarky comments about Daredevil and his ears or whatever.’”
Ritter couldn’t resist joking back. “Oh yeah, any time we get a chance to improvise, I’m going to make fun of Charlie,” she laughed.

While Ritter’s Instagram post may have been a slip-up, it certainly got fans even more hyped for what’s to come. Between Jessica Jones’ return, new characters, and a tie-in with Spider-Man, Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 looks like it’s going to be one of Marvel’s most exciting shows yet.
