WOW Presents Plus has announced a new series in the ever-growing Drag Race franchise. The new show, Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale, will follow the “Vs the World” format first seen in Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale.
According to the streamer, Latina Royale will bring together Latin queens from across the international Drag Race universe to compete for a global crown.
At the same time, Drag Race Philippines has officially been renewed for a fourth season. Both new series are scheduled to premiere in 2026.
“World of Wonder is proud to continue spotlighting the many cultures which shape global drag, and celebrate Latin artistry with Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale,” said Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato, co-founders of World of Wonder and executive producers of the franchise.
In addition to these new series, a highlight show called Drag Race Mexico Rewind will launch in December. The series will showcase memorable moments from the popular Drag Race Mexico franchise, giving fans a chance to relive some of their favorite scenes ahead of Latina Royale’s premiere.
Details about the hosts and contestants for Drag Race Mexico: Latina Royale have not yet been announced. Fans will have to wait for further updates from WOW Presents Plus.
The Drag Race franchise, created by RuPaul Charles in 2009, has grown into a global phenomenon. It began with RuPaul’s Drag Race in the United States and has since expanded to include international editions in countries like the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, Spain, and the Philippines.
Over the years, the show has become known for its celebration of drag culture, fierce competitions, and memorable catchphrases, building a dedicated worldwide fanbase.
This latest expansion into Mexico shows the franchise’s continued commitment to showcasing drag talent from around the world and celebrating the diversity of the art form.
