‘Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution’ Movie Drops New Trailer Packed with Action and Mystery
A new JUJUTSU KAISEN movie is almost here, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The film, titled JUJUTSU KAISEN: Execution, will hit theaters in Japan on November 7. It will be shown in both regular and IMAX formats. The movie brings back the intense Shibuya Incident arc and gives viewers a first look at what’s next for the series.
Toho Animation shared a new trailer to promote the film. The preview features “more than words” by Hitsujibungaku, the ending theme song from the anime’s second season. The movie will recap major moments from the Shibuya Incident and include scenes that set up the upcoming Culling Game arc.
After its release in Japan, fans in other parts of the world won’t have to wait long. According to Toho Animation, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will release the film in the United Kingdom and Ireland on November 14. It will later open in other regions, including EMEA, Latin America, and APAC. In North America, the movie will arrive on December 5 through Toho Animation and GKIDS.

Crunchyroll, which streams both seasons of MAPPA’s JUJUTSU KAISEN and the prequel movie JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, will also stream the anime’s third season when it begins in January 2026. Season 3 will adapt The Culling Game arc, continuing the story from where the Shibuya Incident left off.
Crunchyroll describes the movie like this: “A veil abruptly descends over the busy Shibuya area amid the bustling Halloween crowds, trapping countless civilians inside. Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer, steps into the chaos.”
“But lying in wait are curse users and spirits scheming to seal him away. Yuji Itadori, accompanied by his classmates and other top-tier jujutsu sorcerers, enters the fray in an unprecedented clash of curses, the Shibuya Incident. In the aftermath, ten colonies across Japan are transformed into dens of curses in a plan orchestrated by Noritoshi Kamo, the most wicked sorcerer in history. As the deadly Culling Game starts, Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu is assigned to carry out Yuji’s execution for his perceived crimes.”
The movie is expected to blend recap footage with new scenes that preview what’s next in the story. It will also feature the emotional conflict between Yuta Okkotsu and Yuji Itadori, setting the stage for Season 3.
In my opinion, this is a great way to keep fans excited between seasons. JUJUTSU KAISEN has built up a huge following, and this film gives everyone a chance to revisit one of its most powerful arcs on the big screen. It also creates the perfect lead-up to the new season.
