Crunchyroll’s Top Anime Sensation Is Back: New Season and Movie Coming Next Year

The Apothecary Diaries is celebrating its second anniversary with some big news for fans. A new trailer has dropped, and it confirms that the anime is returning for a third season. The next season is set to begin in Fall 2026, and it will follow the same format as the first two seasons with two cours.

According to TOHO Animation, Part 1 of Season 3 will start in October 2026, and after a short break, Part 2 will wrap up the season in April 2027.

That’s not all. The anime is also getting a brand new feature film that will hit theaters in Japan in October 2026. Details about the movie’s title and staff haven’t been revealed yet, but fans can look forward to an original story created by the series’ writer, Natsu Hyuga. “Written by original series writer Natsu Hyuga, it’s yet another reason to be excited for its feature film debut,” a statement from the official announcement reads.

There is no word yet on whether the film will be released internationally.
