The set is inspired by Stranger Things’ upcoming fifth and final season. Freakwency is a robot based on the WSQK van driven by Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, and her friends in the show.
8-Trax is a unique Transformer that changes from an 8-track tape into a hawk. “Freakwency is a 6-inch robot who transforms into van mode in 16 steps, while 8-Trax transforms between tape and hawk in 8 steps,” according to Hasbro. The tape version of 8-Trax can even fit inside Freakwency’s chest.
The set also includes a fun accessory: a blaster for Freakwency that can turn into a rubber chicken. The Transformers x Stranger Things Freakwency and 8-Trax set will cost $57.99 and will be sold only at Target. Preorders start on the Target website today.
This unusual mash-up is already drawing attention for its creative and quirky design. Fans of both Transformers and Stranger Things are sure to notice all the clever details.
