Ariana Grande Dazzles in Glinda-Inspired Gown at Governors Awards
Ariana Grande made a striking appearance at the 16th Governors Awards in Los Angeles, catching attention in a Glinda-inspired gown from Christian Dior’s 2007 Fall/Winter collection.

This event marked Grande’s first public appearance since a shocking incident at the Asia premiere of her upcoming film, Wicked: For Good, in Singapore. While walking the “yellow brick road” for the premiere, a fan rushed at her and jostled her, prompting co-star Cynthia Erivo to intervene.
Grande stars as Glinda in Wicked: For Good, also known as Wicked: Part Two, a musical fantasy directed by Jon M. Chu and written by Winnie Holzman and Dana Fox. The movie continues the story from the 2024 Wicked film and follows the second act of the original 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Holzman.
The story is set in the Land of Oz and explores the relationship between Elphaba and Glinda as they embrace their new identities as the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Other cast members include Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum.
While promoting her new role, Grande has shown excitement about portraying Glinda and bringing the character to life on screen.
Seeing Ariana Grande embrace such a dramatic, fairy-tale-inspired look at the Governors Awards really highlights her evolution as a style icon. Her choice of gown perfectly reflects her Glinda role in Wicked: For Good and shows she isn’t afraid to take fashion risks. What do you think about Ariana’s look and her upcoming movie?
