Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple are lending their voices to a new animated comedy called Swapped, set to arrive on Netflix in 2026, according to Netflix and Skydance Animation. The film was previously titled Pookoo and has just released a new promotional still.

The story takes place in an animal kingdom known as the Valley. Jordan voices a small woodland creature, while Temple plays a regal bird. After a magical body-swap accident, the two enemies are forced to experience life in each other’s bodies. This unexpected turn leads them on a chaotic journey filled with laughs and challenges.

Swapped is directed by Nathan Greno, who also directed Tangled. The screenplay is written by John Whittington, with Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow contributing. Producers include John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews.

Greno shared his excitement about the project, saying, “Swapped is an unpredictable, emotional ride — full of humor, spectacle, and heart. We drew from live-action nature documentaries, exploring the complexity of a wild ecosystem to capture something that feels vibrant and deeply human.”

He also praised the performances of Jordan and Temple, adding, “Every moment between them feels alive — funny one second, deeply moving the next. Their chemistry lifts the story and gives Swapped its wings.”

With its mix of comedy, adventure, and heart, Swapped promises to be a fun ride for both kids and adults. The trailer hints at a story full of surprises as the woodland creature and the bird try to navigate their new forms.
