Spencer Lofranco, the Canadian actor known for his role in the 2018 film Gotti, has died at the age of 33. His passing was announced by his brother Santino on Instagram on Thursday, November 20.

According to Santino, Spencer died on Tuesday, November 18.

“To the legend @roccowinning. My brother. You lived a life only some could dream of,” Santino wrote. “You changed people’s lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 – November 18, 2025.” The post included a series of photos showing Spencer as a child and in recent years.

TMZ reported that Spencer’s death is currently under investigation in British Columbia, Canada. Born in Toronto, Lofranco appeared in seven films between 2013 and 2018. His credits include Jamesy Boy (2014), Angelina Jolie’s war drama Unbroken (2014), Dixieland (2015), Home (2015), King Cobra (2016), At Middleton (2013), and Gotti (2018), where he played the son of John Travolta’s character, the infamous mob boss John Gotti.

Spencer began acting at age 17, despite his father hoping he would pursue hockey or a career in law. He studied acting for a year at the New York Film Academy before landing his first role in At Middleton.

Reflecting on his early career, he told Interview magazine in 2014, “Growing up, Angelina Jolie was my dream girl. Now I’m going to shoot a movie with her. It’s crazy. I tell people and they’re like, ‘Yeah… okay.’ They don’t even believe me.”
