Vince Gilligan, the creator of Better Call Saul, recently shared his thoughts on what might be happening with Saul Goodman these days. The discussion came during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show, where Gilligan also talked about his new Apple TV+ series, Pluribus.

When asked about Saul, whose real name is Jimmy McGill and is played by Bob Odenkirk, Gilligan gave a humorous answer. “I think Trump pardoned him,” he said, making both Eisen and the crew laugh. He added, “Kind of tracks. I think he’s a free man. I think he’s doing infomercials.”

The interview also touched on Huell, Saul’s former bodyguard. Gilligan admitted he wasn’t sure what happened to him but shared his thoughts anyway. “To me, I think he’s out living his life. I think Huell, he was bit of a rogue, bit of a criminal. He was a really good pickpocket,” Gilligan said.

Gilligan didn’t stop at Better Call Saul. He also shared what he hopes has happened to characters from Breaking Bad. Asked about Skyler and Walt Jr., he said he hopes they moved on from their tough past. “I hope they’re not where we last saw them. They were living in a pretty sad-looking dire straits,” he explained.

“I think they got their life back together,” adding that he imagines Skyler found a good man and Walt Jr. might be writing a book about his father or even running a podcast.

Gilligan’s comments give fans a funny and imaginative look at the lives of these characters after the shows ended. His answers don’t provide any real spoilers but do keep the story alive in the fans’ minds.
