‘Mickey 17’ (2025)

Bong Joon Ho writes and directs this adaptation of Edward Ashton’s novel ‘Mickey7’, centered on an “Expendable” colonist whose body can be regenerated after each fatal mission on the ice world Niflheim. Robert Pattinson leads the cast as Mickey, joined by Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo, with Darius Khondji as cinematographer and Jung Jae-il composing the score. Production was handled by Plan B and partners, with the film blending dark comedy and science-fiction themes that echo Bong’s interest in class and survival.
