ABC has officially announced the revival of Scrubs, ordering a new season set to premiere during the 2025–26 broadcast season.

The reboot, which will be the show’s 10th season, is scheduled to debut on February 25, 2026. Original cast members Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley, and Judy Reyes are all returning, with Bill Lawrence coming back as executive producer, according to ABC.

The first teaser for the series has also been released. It runs for 30 seconds and shows JD, Turk, and Elliot walking through the halls of Sacred Heart Hospital while the song Big Dawg by Quise.B plays. JD greets a group of new interns with the line, “I’m back, baby,” leaving them confused.

Turk and Elliot try to guide him, telling JD to act like Dr. Cox. At that moment, McGinley’s character appears from behind a curtain along with Carla, played by Judy Reyes.

Scrubs originally aired from 2001 to 2010, gaining a devoted fan base with its mix of humor, heart, and hospital antics. Since the show ended, Braff and Faison have reunited for commercials and small fan nods, but this reboot marks the first time the full cast will return together.

Fans can expect familiar dynamics with the beloved characters, though there will be changes with the new cast of interns and the updated hospital setting.

This Scrubs revival looks fun and nostalgic while also introducing fresh storylines. Seeing JD, Turk, and Elliot back at Sacred Heart is sure to excite longtime fans. What do you think about the new season? Share your thoughts in the comments.
