Holland Taylor, 82, Honors Girlfriend Sarah Paulson, 50, with Emotional Walk of Fame Speech
Holland Taylor celebrated Sarah Paulson’s big moment on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with a touching and very personal tribute.
During the ceremony, which was covered by outlets including Modern Luxury and The Edit, Taylor spoke openly about Paulson’s talent, personality and the bond they’ve shared for nearly a decade.
The 82-year-old actress described Paulson in her own vivid way, saying the star has an energy that stands out from everyone else around her. Taylor called her partner “warm blooded, instinctive, mysterious” and even joked that Paulson is “not dangerous like a snake, more like a mongoose.”
The remark drew laughs from the crowd but also showed how deeply she admires Paulson’s presence and intensity as an actor.
Taylor then focused on Paulson’s work. She said Paulson approaches every role with honesty and clarity that many performers never reach. According to Taylor, nothing gets in the way of Paulson’s understanding of the characters she plays.

But the speech wasn’t only about Paulson’s acting. Taylor also talked about who Paulson is outside of Hollywood. She described her as caring, supportive and deeply loyal to the people in her life. Taylor said Paulson maintains long, meaningful friendships and stays close to her family. She told the audience that these relationships show a side of Paulson that is thoughtful, steady and generous.
Taylor ended her remarks with a direct message to Paulson, saying the actress already has a permanent place in her heart. “I love you, darling,” she said, closing the speech with emotion.
The couple has been together since 2015 and has often addressed public attention on their 31-year age difference. Paulson previously told Modern Luxury that she doesn’t worry about criticism, saying, “I’m doing just fine.”
