Timothée Chalamet Takes on a Wild Ride in New Teaser for ‘Marty Supreme’
A new teaser for the upcoming film Marty Supreme has just been released, giving fans a first look at Timothée Chalamet in a story about ambition, obsession, and ping pong.
The sports comedy-drama is directed and produced by Josh Safdie, who co-wrote the script with Ronald Bronstein. The film is loosely inspired by the life of American table tennis legend Marty Reisman, according to reports.
Chalamet stars as Marty Mauser, a young man chasing his dream of becoming a top ping pong player in 1950s New York. “Marty goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness,” the teaser suggests, showing glimpses of Chalamet’s intense training and the obstacles he faces along the way.
The film also features an ensemble cast including Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher. Marty Supreme had a surprise premiere at the 2025 New York Film Festival on October 6, where it was included in the Main Slate as a “secret screening,” and it is set to hit theaters in the United States on December 25, distributed by A24.
