Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and game studio Arvore are teaming up on the first official video game based on The Boys, and it’s being built only for VR headsets.

The project is called The Boys: Trigger Warning, and it is planned to launch in spring 2026 for Meta Quest 3 and PlayStation VR2 with a price of $23.99. A trailer has already been released, giving the first look at the game’s tone and characters.

The game puts players in the role of a brand-new character rather than someone from the show. The story begins with this character discovering a disturbing secret connected to Vought during what should have been a normal family day.

That discovery forces them into becoming a Supe, and they end up joining The Boys to sneak into Vought and fight back from the inside. Arvore describes the project as a mix of stealth and action made specifically for VR.

Many familiar faces from the Prime Video series appear in the game. Laz Alonso returns as Mother’s Milk, Colby Minifie is back as Ashley Barrett, and P.J. Byrne again plays Adam Bourke. Jensen Ackles also appears, but as a new, darker version of Soldier Boy created just for this game. The trailer also shows Homelander and Billy Butcher, though it’s not confirmed if Antony Starr and Karl Urban are voicing them.

Arvore has worked on VR titles before, including The Line, YUKI, and the Pixel Ripped games. The studio says it developed Trigger Warning closely with the people behind the TV series.

Ricardo Justus, Arvore’s founder and studio head, said, “From day one, we wanted to build an adaptation hand-in-hand with the people who defined this universe. Working with the show’s writers and cast allowed us to bring the edge, humor, and brutality that made the series iconic, delivered with the spark of magic only Arvore can create.”

The game’s release window lines up with the arrival of Season 5 of The Boys, which premieres April 8 and will end on May 20.
