Peacock has shared a new look at its upcoming thriller The Copenhagen Test, releasing the first official trailer and confirming more details about the series. The show is led by Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera and is set to arrive at the end of this year.

The project comes from creator Thomas Brandon and is produced by James Wan’s company, Atomic Monster. According to Peacock, the story takes place in the near future and follows an intelligence officer who becomes compromised after his mind is hacked. From there, he must fight to prove where his loyalty truly lies.

Simu Liu plays Alexander Hale, the agent at the center of the story, while Melissa Barrera takes on the role of Michelle.

The series also features Sinclair Daniel, Brian d’Arcy James, Mark O’Brien and Kathleen Chalfant in major roles. Peacock confirmed that Sara Amini later joined the cast in a recurring part.

Behind the camera, Brandon serves as writer and executive producer, joined by co-showrunner Jennifer Yale. James Wan, Michael Clear, Rob Hackett, Mark Winemaker and Jet Wilkinson also executive-produce, with Wilkinson directing the first two episodes.

Peacock picked up the show in early 2024, and filming took place in Toronto from late 2024 until early 2025. The series will include eight episodes and is scheduled to premiere on December 27.

The newly released trailer gives fans their first look at the tense, high-tech world of the show, hinting at a mix of spy action and psychological mystery.
