Netflix has released a new teaser for One Piece Season 2, giving fans their first glimpse at one of the series’ most emotional characters.

The upcoming season continues the live-action adaptation of the popular anime and manga, and anticipation is high as the Straw Hats prepare to enter the legendary Grand Line.

The latest teaser, though brief, highlights Dr. Hiriluk, a character closely tied to Tony Tony Chopper’s backstory.

Portrayed by Mark Harelik, Dr. Hiriluk’s appearance hints at the emotional depth the show plans to explore, staying true to the original story from the anime and manga. Fans can also expect appearances from other beloved characters, including Chopper himself, who becomes a key member of the Straw Hats.

ONE PIECE: Into the Grand Line, as Season 2 is titled, will premiere on Netflix on March 10, 2026. According to the official synopsis, the Straw Hats will face “fiercer adversaries and the most perilous quests yet” as they navigate the Grand Line in search of the world’s greatest treasure. The journey promises bizarre islands, powerful enemies, and adventures that test the crew like never before.

Matt Owens, co-showrunner and executive producer for the series, confirmed that Dr. Kureha will also appear in Season 2. “When the Season 2 writers’ room got together, we knew how far we were going to get and that this character Dr. Kureha was going to be a big part of the season,” he said in a conversation with Tudum.

The new season promises to build on the strong foundation of Season 1, bringing fans deeper into the world of One Piece with both fan-favorite characters and emotional storylines that have defined the franchise for years.
