‘Shrinking’ Season 3 Trailer: Michael J. Fox Makes Hilarious Return with Harrison Ford
Michael J. Fox is returning to the screen in Season 3 of the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking. This marks his first acting role since stepping away in 2020 due to speech challenges related to Parkinson’s disease.
The new trailer shows Fox in a medical waiting room next to Dr. Paul Rhoades, played by Harrison Ford. “What are you in for?” Fox’s character asks. “Parkinson’s. You?” Paul replies. Fox then jokes, “A haircut,” and the two share a laugh. Ford’s character has had Parkinson’s since the first season and has gradually learned to face the disease openly after initially trying to hide it.

Fox’s casting in Shrinking was announced in May. The role reunites him with series creator Bill Lawrence. Fox previously starred in Lawrence’s ABC sitcom Spin City for four seasons before leaving in 2000 because of Parkinson’s-related issues. He also had a notable guest appearance on Lawrence’s Scrubs.
The Season 3 trailer highlights both humor and heart, showing Fox and Ford’s characters interacting in a way that blends comedy with the realities of living with Parkinson’s.
Season 3 returns January 28, 2026.
