Marvel has dropped a new trailer for its upcoming Wonder Man miniseries, and this time fans finally get a clear look at the superhero’s powers.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II stars as Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, showing abilities fans have only seen in the comics so far. After previous trailers focused on Hollywood satire and a “movie-within-a-show” vibe, this clip gives a taste of classic superhero action.

Wonder Man is a Disney+ series created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest. It is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will be the 17th MCU TV series. Andrew Guest serves as showrunner, with production handled by Marvel Studios along with Family Owned and Onyx Collective.

The story follows Simon Williams as he competes for the lead role in a remake of a Wonder Man film alongside Trevor Slattery, played by Ben Kingsley. Other cast members include Arian Moayed, X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, and Byron Bowers.

Cretton signed a deal with Marvel in December 2021 to develop new Disney+ series. By mid-2022, it was announced Wonder Man would be the focus, with Cretton directing some episodes and Andrew Guest leading the project.

Abdul-Mateen joined the cast later that year, and directors Stella Meghie and James Ponsoldt also came on board in early 2023. Filming began in April 2023 in Los Angeles but was paused in May due to the Writers Guild strike. Production resumed in January 2024 and wrapped in April. The series was officially revealed in October 2024.

Wonder Man will premiere on Disney+ on January 27, 2026, with eight episodes planned. It is part of Phase Six of the MCU under the “Marvel Spotlight” label. The series combines superhero action with Hollywood comedy, exploring Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery’s attempts to land the lead role in the in-universe Wonder Man remake.
