Tommy Lee Jones Mourns Daughter Found Dead at Luxury San Francisco Hotel
Victoria Jones, the daughter of actor Tommy Lee Jones, was found dead at a luxury hotel in San Francisco early on New Year’s Day. She was 34 years old.
According to TMZ, the San Francisco Fire Department responded to a call for medical aid at the Fairmont San Francisco at 2:52 a.m.
Emergency responders found a woman unresponsive and performed CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene. The San Francisco Police Department and the Medical Examiner also arrived, but the cause of death has not been released.
A source said, “A white female around her mid-30s was found unresponsive and the hotel staff was alerted. CPR was done, but she was pronounced deceased by the emergency/ambulance crew that responded to the scene.”
TMZ was the first outlet to report the news, noting that the scene was handed over to police after she was pronounced dead.
Victoria was born on September 3, 1991, to Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, who were married from 1981 to 1996. She also has a brother, Austin, 42.
Victoria appeared in a few acting projects as a child. She made her movie debut in 2002 with a small role in Men in Black II. She later appeared in an episode of One Tree Hill and had a role in The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a Western directed by her father.
Although she did not continue acting as an adult, she occasionally attended red carpet events with her father. In 2017, she appeared at the premiere of Just Getting Started at ArcLight Hollywood and later joined her father at the Tokyo International Film Festival, where he served as president of the international competition jury.
Tommy Lee Jones spoke fondly of Victoria’s acting as a teenager. “She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, speaks impeccable Spanish,” he said, recalling that he had a nurse speak to her in Spanish as a baby.
He also shared a memory from filming The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada: “She had to get up at 5 a.m. for her part. One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said: ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge. So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time.”
