Sean Penn, 65, Spotted Holding Hands with 30-Year-Old Girlfriend in Rare Public Outing After Golden Globes

Sean Penn, 65, was seen out in public with his girlfriend Valeria Nicov, 30, for a rare shopping trip in Santa Monica, California, shortly after the Golden Globes. The couple held hands as they walked together on Wednesday, with Nicov smiling and chatting with Penn, who was spotted smoking.

Penn kept his look classic with a white button-up shirt, blue blazer, and black pants, while Nicov wore an all-black outfit with a sweater, slacks, and coat, completing her look with sunglasses and a shoulder bag.

The outing comes after Penn attended the 2026 Golden Globes, where he was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Paul Thomas Anderson’s film “One Battle After Another.” He was photographed lighting cigarettes during the ceremony while sitting next to Leonardo DiCaprio. The award went to Stellan Skarsgård, with other nominees including Benicio del Toro, Jacob Elordi, Adam Sandler, and Paul Mescal. Penn did not attend the ceremony with Nicov.

Over the years, Penn’s personal life has been highly publicized. He was previously engaged to actress Elizabeth McGovern and has dated Demi Moore and Susan Sarandon. Penn married Madonna in 1985, though their marriage ended amid public legal disputes. He later married Robin Wright, with whom he shares two children, Dylan and Hopper, before their divorce was finalized in 2010.
