During the production of the third season of the series he died from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Umberto Magnani was a veteran Brazilian actor with a career spanning several decades in theater and television. He was portraying the character Father Romão in the telenovela ‘Velho Chico’ when he fell ill on his birthday. Magnani suffered a stroke while preparing for a scene on the production set in 2016. He was rushed to the hospital but passed away a few days later without returning to the show. His character was replaced by another actor who played a different priest to continue the storyline.
Rogério Cardoso

Rogério Cardoso was a beloved Brazilian comedian and actor known for his versatile roles in television sitcoms. He was a regular cast member on the popular series ‘A Grande Família’ where he played the character Floriano.
