Marvel has officially lifted the curtain on Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and fans now have a clearer idea of what the next chapter will look like. The first full trailer was released Tuesday by Marvel Studios and Disney+, and it quickly caught attention online.

The preview shows that life in New York is anything but stable. Wilson Fisk is now firmly in charge as mayor, and his power seems to reach into every corner of the city. His control looks tight, aggressive, and dangerous. The streets feel tense, and the system meant to protect people appears broken.

Matt Murdock is still standing, but he is clearly under pressure. The trailer suggests he is trying to keep a low profile while planning his next move. He knows Fisk cannot be stopped alone, and help is finally on the way.

One of the biggest moments in the trailer is the return of Jessica Jones. Krysten Ritter steps back into the role, marking her first appearance in the new phase of Marvel television. Her character feels rough, honest, and direct, and she does not treat Matt gently. Her presence signals that Daredevil’s fight is turning into something bigger than one man.

The trailer also introduces a new face. Matthew Lillard appears as a character named Mr. Charles. Marvel has not explained who he is or how he fits into the story, leaving fans guessing. Foggy Nelson is also seen briefly, played by Elden Henson, though his role appears limited based on how the first season ended.

Alongside the trailer, Marvel released a short description of the new season. It says, In Season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.

Marvel also confirmed the release date. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will premiere on March 24, according to the studio.

From the footage alone, it is clear the series is leaning into darker themes. Fisk’s power is growing, alliances are forming, and the cost of resistance looks high. The story is moving fast, and the stakes feel heavier than before.

Bringing back Jessica Jones is a smart move. It connects older fans to the new era and makes the story feel larger and more serious. The tone of the trailer suggests Marvel is not pulling punches this time. What do you think about the trailer, the returning characters, and the direction of season 2?
