Adam Sandler couldn’t stop praising Bad Bunny after the singer’s historic Super Bowl halftime show. On February 8 at Levi’s Stadium, Bad Bunny delivered a full set entirely in Spanish, earning praise for its cultural impact.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight what he thought of the performance, Sandler didn’t hold back. “It was unbelievable,” he said, adding that seeing Bad Bunny so loose and happy made everyone feel ecstatic.

He also praised him personally, calling him “a great, great human being” before signing off with a friendly, “hey, love ya.” The clip quickly went viral, with thousands of fans sharing and liking the interaction.

Fans loved seeing two legends supporting each other, especially since Sandler and Bad Bunny recently worked together on Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2. The singer made a guest appearance in the film, giving the two plenty of time to bond on set.

Bad Bunny even admitted in interviews that he was initially starstruck when he first saw Sandler. He recalled a moment years ago at a Lakers game when they locked eyes across the court. “I had been waiting for that moment for a long time,” he said, explaining that he had seen many celebrities but never his hero, Adam Sandler.

Sandler remembered the moment, too, saying he wanted to give some love from across the court because his daughter is a huge fan of Bad Bunny. As of February, Sandler is keeping busy with both comedy and more serious roles.

He recently starred in the Netflix comedy-drama Jay Kelly, directed by Noah Baumbach, playing the frustrated manager of a famous movie star played by George Clooney. The role earned him a Maltin Modern Master Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Sandler is also in the middle of his massive You’re My Best Friend comedy tour, selling out arenas across North America. Fans can also look forward to him returning with his usual crew, as rumors suggest Grown Ups 3 is officially in the works.

The friendship between Sandler and Bad Bunny has clearly grown beyond the screen. Fans are already speculating whether this bond will lead to more movie collaborations between the two.
