Emma Stone turned heads on Tuesday at the 98th Academy Awards Nominees Luncheon, held at the Beverly Hilton. The event is a yearly tradition where the top nominees gather for a group photo ahead of the Oscars in March. Stone looked confident and glamorous as she arrived, showing off a bold new fashion choice.

The actress is celebrating her seventh career Oscar nomination for her lead role in the sci-fi thriller Bugonia. She wore a black couture blazer styled as a mini dress from Julie de Libran’s Spring 2026 collection. Her stylist, Petra Flannery, removed the long skirt that originally came with the blazer on the Paris runway, creating a sharp, modern look with padded shoulders and a delicate leather rosette at the neckline. Stone kept the look simple with sheer black tights and black sandals, letting the outfit speak for itself.

At the luncheon, Stone mingled with fellow nominees including Timothée Chalamet and her close friend Elle Fanning. She was seen laughing and chatting while waiting for the big group photo. Bugonia has already made history for Stone. She is the youngest woman ever to earn seven Oscar nominations. This year, she is nominated for Best Actress and also as a producer for Best Picture.

Her work on Bugonia continues a successful collaboration with director Yorgos Lanthimos. This is their third film together to receive a Best Picture nomination, following hits like The Favourite and Poor Things, which won Stone her second Oscar.

Stone has been busy outside of awards season as well. She recently starred in her first Super Bowl commercial for Squarespace, directed by Lanthimos, where she hilariously smashes computers in a comedic fit of rage. She starred in contemporary western thriller Eddington, directed by Ari Aster. The movie features Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, and Luke Grimes.

Stone’s appearance at the luncheon showed she continues to lead in both fashion and film. Her daring black mini dress hinted at the glamour we can expect at the Oscars.
