‘Scrubs’ Revival Drops First Trailer — Zach Braff and Donald Faison Return to Sacred Heart and Fans Are Losing It
ABC has released a full trailer for the new version of the classic medical comedy “Scrubs,” bringing fans back to Sacred Heart Hospital after many years. The preview confirms that several well-known actors from the original series are returning, including Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, John C. McGinley and Judy Reyes.
The show was first created by Bill Lawrence and debuted in 2001 on NBC. The series became popular for its mix of comedy and emotional moments.

NBC aired the show for seven seasons before ending it in 2008. ABC later revived it for Season 8 and then renewed it once more for Season 9, which was planned as a spin-off called “Scrubs: Medical School.” That final season featured fewer original cast members and the series was cancelled soon after.
The new revival adds fresh faces to the hospital staff. New cast members include Vanessa Bayer, Joel Kim Booster, Ava Bunn, Jacob Dudman, David Gridley, Layla Mohammadi and Amanda Morrow. Fans will also see familiar supporting actors Robert Maschio and Phill Lewis return.
The project is led by longtime “Scrubs” writers Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra, who are serving as executive producers and showrunners. Braff, Faison, Chalke and Bill Lawrence are also part of the executive producer team through Doozer Productions, along with Randall Winston, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. The series is produced by 20th Television.
The revival will premiere on ABC on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will also stream on Hulu after broadcast.
