Pedro Pascal Charms Fans in Sweet Photos With His Labrador
Before Pedro Pascal became a household name through roles in the Star Wars and Marvel universes, he was a struggling actor in New York. Back then, his bank account often had just a few dollars, but he had a rescue dog named Gretta who kept him grounded. According to interviews and social media posts, Pascal credits much of his early stability to his time caring for her.
Now, Pascal has a new dog, Mr. Mingo, and fans often get glimpses of their bond through shared photos.

Pascal has long been known for his love of animals, especially rescue dogs and pit bulls, which he says are often misunderstood. “I think about how poor I was when I had Gretta,” he shared. “I think about the bougie life she would be leading with me now as opposed to then and I grieve, I really do.” This personal experience has helped him advocate for adoption and responsible pet ownership, earning him praise from fans who call it one of his many “green flags.”
His affection for animals even shows up at work. During a photoshoot for Esquire, the owner of a wire-haired dachshund named Olive said Pascal was so distracted by the pup that it was hard for him to focus on the camera. This playful side adds to his reputation as a genuinely caring person.
Despite his busy schedule, Pascal continues to put his love for animals first. He is preparing for the release of Disney’s The Mandalorian & Grogu in May, returning to the role that made him a fan favorite. He has also joined the cast of Todd Haynes’s upcoming detective thriller, De Noche, taking over a lead role initially meant for Joaquin Phoenix.
The film follows a hard-boiled investigator caught in a complicated romance and also stars Danny Ramirez. Later this year, he will reprise his role as Reed Richards in Avengers: Doomsday, set to release in December.
Even with fame and a packed schedule, Pascal hasn’t forgotten the lessons from his first rescue dog. Loyalty, love, and perseverance remain important to him, and he continues to use his platform to show fans the value of caring for animals.
