Ana de Armas continues to command the global stage, proving that her transition from a rising star to a Hollywood powerhouse is as seamless as her fashion choices.

The Academy Award-nominated actress recently made a breathtaking return to the red carpet at the opening night of the 2025 Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Radiating a blend of classic Hollywood glamour and modern edge, she instantly became the focal point of the evening’s festivities, reminding the world why she remains one of the most watched figures in both cinema and style.

For the high-profile occasion, de Armas opted for a custom Louis Vuitton black silk crêpe gown that featured a daring plunge and a bias-cut mermaid silhouette. The look was far from simple, as it was adorned with intricate silver embroidery that mimicked the appearance of firework bursts cascading across the fabric. She completed the ensemble with high-end jewelry from the Louis Vuitton Fine Jewelry collection, including a star-cut diamond ring and elegant pendants.

While her fashion choices often generate headlines, the actress remains focused on the craft that brought her to the festival in the first place. During an In Conversation event at the festival, she spoke candidly about her career journey and her desire to return to her roots. I would love to go back and work there. I love European cinema, she said, specifically expressing a wish to receive scripts from Spanish filmmakers again.

Reflecting on the intense public interest in her life and the high stakes of her profession, the actress shared a grounded perspective on dealing with success. You may miss what is right in front of you because you set expectations and make it harder on yourself, she noted during a discussion about her mindset. This philosophy of staying present has served her well as she navigates an increasingly packed professional schedule.

The past year has been exceptionally productive for the star, headlined by her lead role in the John Wick spin-off, Ballerina. In the film, she portrays Eve Macarro, an assassin-in-training seeking vengeance for the murder of her father.

Starring alongside Keanu Reeves, Anjelica Huston, and the late Lance Reddick, de Armas performed many of her own stunts, earning praise for her physical commitment to the role. There wouldn’t be a Ballerina without a John Wick, she remarked during the film’s promotional tour.

In addition to her action-packed turns, she recently starred in Ron Howard’s survival thriller Eden. The film, which is based on a true story from the 1920s, features an ensemble cast including Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, and Vanessa Kirby. De Armas plays the manipulative and captivating Baroness Eloise Bosquet de Wagner Wehrhorn, a character who serves as a primary source of chaos on a remote Galápagos island.

Looking ahead, the actress is set to expand her range even further with several major projects currently in development. She is in negotiations to star in the Apple TV espionage series Safe Houses alongside Jennifer Connelly, marking her first major foray into leading a television series. Additionally, she has been cast as a fitness influencer in the psychological thriller Sweat, which is directed by J Blakeson and scheduled to begin filming in Los Angeles.
