Charli XCX Stuns in Leather Outfit at ‘The Moment’ London Premiere
Charli XCX made a bold statement at the London premiere of her new mockumentary, The Moment, proving she’s as fearless in fashion as she is in music.
The UK premiere at Picturehouse Central saw the singer step out in a daring black leather outfit, featuring a peplum-zip jacket, matching bikini-style bottoms, and thigh-high boots. The look immediately grabbed attention, showing off what fans called “legs for days.”

Her stylist, Chris Horan, explained that the outfit combined archival pieces from her past tours and performances. “Grammys corset, tour shorts, new tights, wedding bra,” he said, highlighting how the look was carefully assembled to echo Charli’s signature edgy style.
The Moment, directed by Aidan Zamiri, is not your typical music film. It follows Charli playing an exaggerated version of herself as she navigates the chaos of her 2024 arena tour. The story includes her clashing with a clueless director, played by Alexander Skarsgård. “The tone wouldn’t have been the same anywhere else,” Charli said, noting how filming in the UK added a dry, British humor to the project.
The movie also stars Rosanna Arquette, Jamie Demetriou, Rachel Sennott, and features Kylie Jenner in her acting debut. Longtime collaborator A. G. Cook composed the soundtrack, which blends hyper-pop energy with the movie’s comedic tone.
Charli has been busy beyond her film debut. She recently produced the soundtrack for Emerald Fennell’s Wuthering Heights, including the lead single House, which was praised for its dark, gothic-pop style. She’s also set to appear in Gregg Araki’s I Want Your Sex, the dark comedy The Gallerist with Natalie Portman, and the Polish-British film Erupcja, which premiered at SXSW.
At the London premiere, Charli reunited with Skarsgård and co-star Rish Shah, adding to the excitement for the film’s wider release. The movie captures the absurdity of modern pop culture while showcasing Charli’s self-awareness and humor. Her fashion choices at the premiere reinforced her persona, combining edgy style with playful self-parody.
For Charli, this is more than a movie premiere—it’s a declaration. She’s expanding from music into acting while staying true to the bold identity she’s cultivated. The Moment signals that the “Brat” era of Charli xcx is far from over.
Charli’s mix of fashion, music, and comedy shows she’s ready to dominate multiple industries at once. Her ability to take risks, on screen and on the red carpet, is inspiring.
