Cindy Crawford Talks About Her Daily Morning Routine at 60
Cindy Crawford is about to celebrate her 60th birthday on February 20, and the supermodel continues to show that staying healthy and active takes more than just good genes. Over the years, she has built a lifestyle around regular exercise, proper rest, balanced meals, and healthy habits.
The mother of Kaia Gerber shared details about her daily routine during an interview with Lauryn and Michael Bosstick on the podcast The Skinny Confidential. She explained that she usually starts her mornings with a workout and practices intermittent fasting when she’s at home.
I don’t eat right after I wake up. I usually wait until around 10 a.m. and train before breakfast, Crawford said, giving a glimpse into her intentional approach to wellness. To break her fast, she makes a smoothie packed with nutrients, including coconut milk, collagen, protein powder, cocoa, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, spinach, mint, and a little maca.
She uses only half a banana, explaining that a whole one might add too much sugar. Crawford described this careful preparation as a key part of her routine, saying it helps her feel strong and energized throughout the day.
Her diet beyond breakfast is simple and focused on balance. Crawford eats a variety of foods but limits gluten because it doesn’t sit well with her. She enjoys pasta while traveling in Europe but keeps meals lighter at home, often choosing a protein-rich salad for lunch and a dinner with protein and vegetables.
Nutrition experts have commented on her routine. Dietitian Antonio Andújar said Crawford’s approach seems more about fat loss than muscle gain, noting that fasted workouts might not work for everyone. Exercising with low glycogen can reduce performance or even cause muscle loss if the workout is intense, he said.
However, he noted that Crawford’s reformer Pilates makes fasted training easier for her. Nutritionist Rosa Rullán also said her diet is low in carbohydrates and cautioned that it could lead to hormonal issues, but praised her consistent focus on vegetables and quality protein.
Even as she focuses on health, Crawford has stayed busy in fashion. Earlier this year, she attended the 2nd Annual WWD Style Awards in Santa Monica, where she was honored for her long-lasting impact on the industry. She also starred in a ’90s-inspired campaign for Good American, proving her influence remains strong.
Crawford has also returned to the screen with the Apple TV+ docuseries The Super Models, where she appears alongside Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington. The series highlights the careers of these iconic models and shows how they continue to shape the fashion world decades later.
She is also reportedly working on a new lifestyle project focused on aging gracefully, building on her skincare brand, Meaningful Beauty. Through it all, Crawford demonstrates that disciplined habits and consistency are key to staying strong and vibrant at any age.
From pre-breakfast workouts to carefully prepared meals and a balanced professional schedule, her routine shows that energy and wellness are built on daily commitment. Cindy Crawford’s ongoing work in modeling, media, and wellness continues to inspire fans worldwide, proving that a healthy lifestyle and active career can thrive together.
