Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao to Face Off Again in September at Las Vegas Sphere
Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are set to face each other again in the boxing ring. The rematch of their famous 2015 fight will take place on September 19 in Las Vegas at the Sphere, an immersive new venue east of the Strip. The fight will be available to stream on Netflix, marking the first boxing event ever held at the Sphere, according to announcements made Monday by the fighters and their teams.
Mayweather, who will turn 49 soon, recently announced he is ending his nine-year retirement from professional boxing. Pacquiao, 47, came out of his four-year retirement last year and is preparing for another fight against Ruslan Provodnikov on April 18. Neither fighter has confirmed the weight class or number of rounds for the September bout.
The first fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao took place 11 years ago. Mayweather won by decision in a match that, while hyped for years, did not fully meet fan expectations. Despite that, promoters called it the most profitable fight in history, setting pay-per-view records worldwide.
“I already fought and beat Manny once. This time will be the same result,” Mayweather said in a statement.
Pacquiao revealed that during their first fight, he had a shoulder injury and could not fight at full strength. “The fans have waited long enough — they deserve this rematch,” Pacquiao said. “I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him.”

The Sphere, which opened in 2023, has hosted UFC events, with UFC President Dana White noting that producing a show there cost roughly $20 million due to the venue’s unique features.
