First Look: Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell Shine in ‘The Madison’ Trailer from ‘Yellowstone’ Creator
Fans finally got a first look at Taylor Sheridan’s latest series, The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. The show follows a family that leaves New York City for central Montana, only to face tragedy and upheaval as they try to rebuild their lives. Paramount+ released the trailer this week, teasing what the network is calling Sheridan’s “most intimate work to date,” blending love, loss, and family drama.
In the trailer, Pfeiffer delivers a line that sets the tone for the series: “Mine is not a family designed to withstand tragedy.” The footage highlights sweeping Montana landscapes, capturing the vastness and quiet beauty of Sheridan’s favorite Western state.
The Madison will debut its first three episodes on Paramount+ on March 14, with the final three episodes following on March 21. The show has already been picked up for a second season, signaling confidence in its storytelling and star-studded cast.
Memories for a lifetime.

Alongside Pfeiffer and Russell, the series features Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett. Some of these actors, like Vasinova, are connected to other projects in the extended Yellowstone universe, which includes 1883, 1923, and the spinoff Marshals.
The production brings together multiple studios, including Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions. Executive producers include Sheridan, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Pfeiffer, Russell, and Keith Cox. Voros directs all six episodes of the debut season.
Sheridan’s vision for The Madison seems to balance epic Western landscapes with intimate character work. From the trailer, it’s clear the series will explore grief, resilience, and the struggle to hold a family together amid change.
The trailer has me excited to see how Pfeiffer and Russell tackle such emotional roles while navigating the rugged Montana backdrop. The mix of star power, family drama, and the connection to the Yellowstone universe makes this one to watch. What do you think of the trailer and the series concept?
