Eva Green is lighting up social media again, thanks to a set of throwback photos from the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. Fans have been revisiting her show-stopping appearances at the Palais des Festivals, where she served as a member of the feature film jury and instantly became the center of attention.

Known for her gothic-glamour style, Green turned heads in daring cleavage-baring gowns from Vivienne Westwood and Chanel that blended modern cuts with classic elegance.

The images quickly went viral, with fans sharing shots of her dramatic silhouettes and intricate detailing across Instagram and Twitter. Her presence on the Croisette reminded everyone why she is considered a fashion and film icon, unafraid to take risks on one of the world’s most scrutinized red carpets. The Cannes jury, which she served on alongside president Greta Gerwig, was the backdrop for some of her most memorable red-carpet moments.

In interviews at the time, Green talked about her approach to red-carpet fashion. Lots of shy people dress a bit too much, it is just kind of an armour, and people say the same thing about me, she said. She also shared that red carpets are about being a bit theatrical, having fun rather than being too safe, you have to be brave. Her words show the thought behind every bold outfit she chooses.

Green also opened up about the pressures of being a juror and the magic of the festival. I’d like to say that, at 40, I have the necessary wisdom and hindsight, but at the same time, the thrill of this profession is that you’re constantly questioning yourself, she said during a press conference.

Even beyond Cannes, Green has kept a busy schedule. She recently starred in the action thriller Dirty Angels, playing a soldier leading a team of female commandos on a rescue mission in Afghanistan.

She is also returning to television in Netflix’s Wednesday for the third season, playing Aunt Ophelia Frump, the mysterious sister of Morticia Addams. Filming in Dublin, the season reunites her with Tim Burton and features Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Winona Ryder. Fans are excited to see her signature dark energy bring this new character to life.

Green continues to make waves in fashion as well. She fronted the Fall 2025 campaign for Roger Vivier, La Rose Vivier, which highlighted her timeless allure in floral-inspired settings. Her film career is just as strong, spanning historical epics like The Three Musketeers and intimate independent dramas. Known for taking on complex, layered roles, Green has remained a captivating screen presence for over two decades.

With Wednesday Season 3 slated for a 2027 release, Eva Green is entering another high point in her career. These throwback photos remind fans of her unforgettable red-carpet moments and the influence she holds in both fashion and cinema.
