P!nk has quickly shut down rumors that she and her husband Carey Hart are splitting after two decades of marriage. The singer, whose real name is Alecia Moore, addressed the false report in an Instagram video, saying, “So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know. Thank you for letting me know. Would you also like to tell our children? My 14- and 9-year-old are also unaware.”
She added, “Do you want to talk about my accomplishments or do you only want to talk about my supposed demise? So fake news, not true. I love you all.” Her representatives, along with Hart’s, had not immediately responded to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment.
P!nk and Hart’s relationship has had ups and downs over the years. They first met at the 2001 X Games in Philadelphia and dated on and off before Hart proposed in 2005. The couple tied the knot in Costa Rica in January 2006. Two years later, they briefly separated but eventually reconciled, with Hart even appearing in P!nk’s hit music video “So What,” which was inspired by their brief divorce.
The couple has built a strong family life with their two children, Willow Sage, 14, and Jameson Moon, 9. P!nk has often shared glimpses of her children in her work. Willow has even performed alongside her mom, including a standout aerial routine during the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, which P!nk praised, saying, “Willow nailed it! Jameson, nailing it.”
In a 2023 interview with PEOPLE, P!nk opened up about how she and Hart maintain their long-lasting marriage. “He and I are independent to a fault. That’s probably why we’ve stayed together so long, because we can live completely separately and then be together,” she explained. “We don’t need each other. We choose each other.”
