The upcoming film from the Peaky Blinders world is getting closer to release, and the cast stepped out this week to celebrate its arrival. According to event coverage from the global premiere at Symphony Hall in Birmingham, Rebecca Ferguson joined the lineup on Monday night as anticipation builds for the movie’s debut.

The film, titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, will arrive in select cinemas on March 6 before landing on Netflix on March 20. Fans have been waiting years for this next chapter after the original series wrapped, and the new story moves forward in time from where the show left off.

Ferguson appeared at the premiere in a textured gold gown that reached the floor and featured lace detailing. She styled her hair in a side braid as she posed alongside other cast members attending the event.

In the film, Ferguson takes on a new role in the Peaky Blinders universe. She plays Kaulo, a mysterious figure described as a powerful medium who may form a connection with Thomas Shelby.

Cillian Murphy also attended the premiere. He returns as Tommy, the central character of the long-running crime drama. Murphy wore a satin shirt paired with high-waisted trousers and a long coat as he joined the celebrations.

Some familiar faces from the series were not present at the event. Reports noted that Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham, and Barry Keoghan did not attend.

Other cast members did make an appearance, including Ian Peck and Tim Roth. Roth has joined the film as a new character named Beckett.

The Peaky Blinders story began as a television series that ran for six seasons and 36 episodes. Plans for a film continuation were first mentioned by creator Steven Knight back in 2021, and the project was officially confirmed later on.

The new movie picks up four years after the events of the series finale. The story finds Tommy Shelby living far from home during World War II before being drawn back into his past. A recently released trailer gives a glimpse of his return and includes a tense moment between Tommy and Kaulo.

With its release now just weeks away, the film is expected to continue the story of the Shelby family while introducing new characters and challenges.

Bringing Peaky Blinders back as a film feels like a smart move. The show built a strong following, and many fans wanted more closure for Tommy’s story. Turning it into a movie could give the character a bigger and more dramatic ending. What do you think about the return of Peaky Blinders in film form? Are you excited to see the story continue?
