Jason Biggs, the actor best known for playing Jim Levenstein in the American Pie series, recently spoke about the possibility of another movie in the franchise. Fans of the late-nineties comedy have long hoped for a new installment, and Biggs confirmed in an interview with the New York Post that talks about a fifth theatrical film happening regularly behind the scenes.

Biggs said he would be excited to return to the role of Jim if the story felt right. “It would be so much fun,” he said, adding that he sees the original cast as a second family. He believes the current interest in nostalgia makes it a good time to bring back the series, especially since fans continue to ask about the group’s return.

The actor has also kept a personal connection to the franchise, holding on to many items from the original sets. He told People that he still has scripts and even his old Band Camp shirt, joking that he no longer fits into it.

Outside of American Pie, Biggs has been open about his personal life and struggles. He recently celebrated eight years of sobriety and spoke about his battle with alcohol. “It was a constant mental battle,” he said, noting that getting clean in 2017 was important to be present for his family, especially as he and his wife, Jenny Mollen, were preparing for their children.

Biggs has also been busy with new projects. He made his feature directorial debut with the dark comedy-thriller Untitled Home Invasion Romance, in which he stars alongside Meaghan Rath and Justin H. Min.

The movie follows a husband who fakes a break-in to save his marriage, only for the situation to turn into a real murder investigation. The film premiered at the Torino Film Festival and was released digitally in January.

In addition, Biggs appears in Operation Taco Gary’s, a sci-fi action comedy starring Simon Rex and Dustin Milligan. He plays a fictionalized version of himself in a story about two brothers caught up in a wild intergalactic conspiracy involving a fast-food chain.

When he isn’t filming, Biggs lives in New York City with his wife, Jenny, and their two sons, Sid and Lazlo. He continues to balance family life with his career while remaining open about his personal journey, showing fans that he is not only a comedian but also someone working to grow and take on new creative challenges.
