The 98th Academy Awards didn’t just hand out Oscars. They also surprised nominees with gift bags that have reached an eye-popping value of $346,621. These “Everyone Wins” packages, organized by marketing firm Distinctive Assets, were given to all 25 nominees in the top acting and directing categories, whether they took home a statue or not.

While the bags included about $5,800 in actual items like Oofos slides, designer tees, and gold-covered chocolate pretzels, the real luxury came from experiences and high-end vouchers.

Some of the standout perks included a $35,000 stay at a private Northern Lights villa in Finland, $25,000 toward facial cosmetic surgery in New York, and even a $600 credit for a customized prenuptial agreement.

Celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Stone, and Michael B. Jordan were among those to receive this year’s extravagant packages. Lash Fary, the founder of Distinctive Assets, explained that the gifts are not about need, but about celebrating the artistry of each nominee.

“Our extraordinary nominee gifts are in no way based on need,” he said, adding that the initiative also supports minority-owned brands, female entrepreneurs, and businesses that give back. “We are acknowledging these amazing nominees while elevating and showcasing small businesses at a time when everyone can use a little more fun and frivolity,” he added.

Fary also highlighted the sentimental side of the gift bags. “The ‘Everyone Wins’ Gift Bag has become known as the ultimate consolation prize,” he said, noting that even those who don’t win an Oscar get to enjoy a lavish token of appreciation for their contributions to film over the past year.

One of this year’s recipients, Michael B. Jordan, had a particularly remarkable year thanks to his starring role in the supernatural thriller Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler. The movie earned a record-breaking 16 Oscar nominations, and Jordan received praise for his dual performance in the Southern Gothic story.

Jordan isn’t slowing down. He’s set to direct and star in Creed IV, continuing the story of Adonis Creed, and he’s also working on a new take on The Thomas Crown Affair for Warner Bros., stepping into the iconic title role originally played by Steve McQueen.

Sinners also features Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, and Delroy Lindo, and tells the story of two brothers confronting an ancient evil when they return to their hometown. The movie has been both a critical and commercial hit, further cementing Jordan’s status as one of Hollywood’s most influential talents.

With his production company Outlier Society and his ongoing projects, Jordan’s career continues to thrive both in front of and behind the camera, while the lavish nominee gift bags serve as a reminder of the luxury and glamour that surround Hollywood’s top stars.
