At 46 Kate Hudson Had Everyone Talking at the Oscars After Party With Her Fit Look
Kate Hudson turned heads at the 98th Academy Awards, showing off not one, but two stunning looks during the night. She first arrived on the Oscars red carpet in a teal mosaic peplum gown by Giorgio Armani Privé, sparkling with diamonds worth $35 million.
Later, she changed into a glamorous black Gucci dress for the Vanity Fair after-party. This gown had a plunging neckline, a daring midriff cutout, and a long, dramatic train. She finished the look with diamond drop earrings and a 15-carat green diamond ring from Garatti.
Her makeup stayed soft and glowing with shimmery eyeshadow and a light pink lip. Hudson didn’t come alone to the after-party. Her 22-year-old son, Ryder Robinson, joined her. Ryder looked sharp in a black tuxedo with a modern ivory ribbon instead of a tie.

Hudson, who also has two younger children, Bingham and Rani Rose, seemed happy to share the special night with her family. Earlier in the evening, she also walked the main red carpet with her mother, Goldie Hawn. Hawn, who won an Oscar in 1970 for Cactus Flower, looked elegant in a black gown with silver lace details.
Hudson told reporters before the event, “I’m excited just to be doing this again. It’s really cool. Hopefully, my mom will be my date, and we can have fun. It’ll be great.” Kate Hudson was at the Oscars as a nominee for Best Actress for her role in the musical drama Song Sung Blue.
This marked 25 years since her first Oscar nomination for Almost Famous in 2000, where she played Penny Lane. While Jessie Buckley won the award for Hamnet, critics have praised Hudson’s performance as Claire Sardina, calling it a strong career comeback.

Outside the awards, Hudson has had a busy year. She’s starring in the Netflix comedy series Running Point, playing the head of a pro basketball team. She also finished filming a romantic drama called Hello & Paris with Javier Bardem.
Hudson has spoken about her work ethic, saying staying focused on what she loves has brought her back to big stages like the Oscars. Song Sung Blue has also been a hit on streaming platforms like Peacock after its theater release.
The movie, co-starring Hugh Jackman, tells the story of a Milwaukee couple who created a Neil Diamond tribute band called Lightning & Thunder. The film has been praised for showing how the couple stayed strong through tough times, especially focusing on Claire Sardina’s struggles after a serious accident.
Kate Hudson also runs a popular podcast called Sibling Revelry. With her recent honors, including the Motion Picture Showperson of the Year award, she seems to be at the peak of her career.
