Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser Ignite Global Mayhem in Raunchy “Balls Up” Trailer
Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser are bringing chaos to the soccer field in their new comedy, Balls Up. Amazon MGM Studios released the trailer on March 19, teasing a wild story set at a fictional World Cup tournament in Brazil. Wahlberg, 54, and Hauser, 39, play American marketing executives who land a deal to make their brand of cond*** the official sponsor of the event.
Once in Brazil, their celebration gets out of hand. The two find themselves drunk on the pitch during the World Cup Final, unintentionally stopping the Brazilian team from winning. According to the movie synopsis, “After their drunken celebration in Brazil sparks a global scandal, they must outrun furious fans, criminals, and power-hungry officials to salvage their careers and make it home alive.”
The film is directed by Peter Farrelly, known for Dumb & Dumber and Ricky Stanicky. The script is by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, who wrote the Deadpool series and Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. Alongside Wahlberg and Hauser, the cast includes Benjamin Bratt, Eva De Dominici, Daniela Melchior, Molly Shannon, Sacha Baron Cohen, and Eric André.

Balls Up marks Wahlberg’s first film release of 2026. He previously starred as a serial killer in Mel Gibson’s Flight Risk, appeared in the Prime Video film Play Dirty, and returned as Dan Morgan in The Family Plan 2. Hauser recently appeared in Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere and had an uncredited role in the Prime Video movie Playdate.
Fans can watch Balls Up when it begins streaming exclusively on Prime Video on April 15.
