Samara Weaving Returns in a Blood-Soaked Bridal Vision for ‘Ready or Not 2’
The horror sequel Ready or Not 2 is starting to pick up attention again after new images of Samara Weaving appeared on Instagram. The actress shared the post through her stories, giving fans a first look at her return as Grace. She added the caption “Here Comes The Bride Ready or Not 2”, which quickly spread online.
The image shows her standing inside a dark, unfinished space that looks like a basement or construction site. A strong yellow light hits her from above, creating a tense and cold mood. The setting feels rough and incomplete, which contrasts strongly with her outfit.
Weaving is wearing a detailed white wedding dress with a fitted top and layered skirt. The design includes fine fabric work and a structured shape. She also wears long matching gloves and has loose blonde hair styled in soft waves. Sunglasses rest on top of her head, adding a casual touch to an otherwise formal look.

The visual style connects back to the first film, where her wedding dress slowly becomes damaged as the story turns violent. In this new image, the dress is still clean, but the environment suggests that danger is close. It feels like the start of another fight for survival rather than the end.
Ready or Not 2 continues the story after the 2019 original. The first film followed Grace after she survived a deadly game tied to the Le Domas family. The sequel expands the world and introduces a larger group connected to the same deadly system.
The cast also brings in new characters. Kathryn Newton plays Grace’s sister, which adds a personal angle to the story. Other actors include Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and David Cronenberg. The film is directed again by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.
Outside of this franchise, Weaving has stayed active in horror and thriller films. She continues to build her career as a leading name in modern genre cinema, taking on both film and voice roles.

The movie is set to release today. Production moved through filming in Toronto in 2025 after early development work began in late 2024. The marketing is now focusing on her return and the survival horror tone that defined the original film.
This first look does a good job of setting the tone without revealing too much. It keeps the focus on the character and the mood, which is important for a horror sequel like this. If the film keeps the same tension and smart storytelling as the first one, it could be another strong entry. What do you think about this first look at the sequel? Do you think it will live up to the original? Share your thoughts in the comments.
