Lucy Liu, 57, Radiates Effortless Style in New Photos 21 Years After ‘Charlie’s Angels’
Lucy Liu was recently seen filming her new Peacock series Superfakes in New York City. Reports from Deadline and on-set sightings confirm she was working on scenes for the upcoming show on March 20.
During filming, Liu was active on location with crew and co-star Bohan Phoenix. She was seen moving between shots and taking part in outdoor scenes, including sequences filmed in a park.
Her role in the series also comes with a producing credit. She is serving as an executive producer on the project, working alongside creator and showrunner Alice Ju. The series focuses on the hidden world of luxury counterfeit goods and follows a woman who becomes involved in a risky underground trade while trying to support her family.
On set, Liu wore simple layered outfits suited for a casual, everyday character look. She was also seen in between takes doing normal on-set activities like grabbing coffee and preparing for scenes.
Alongside this series, she is also preparing for another major release, The Devil Wears Prada 2, which is set to hit theaters on May 1.
This new phase of her career adds to a long list of major roles across film and television. She first became widely known as an action star in Charlie’s Angels, where she played one of the lead roles in a major Hollywood franchise. That film helped shape her early global fame and still remains one of her most recognizable performances.
Now, more than two decades later, she continues to stay active in both acting and producing, taking on projects that give her more creative control.
Lucy Liu’s career shows strong longevity and smart choices over time. Moving from action star roles like Charlie’s Angels to producing and leading new series is not easy in Hollywood. What do you think about her continued success and her shift into producing? Share your thoughts in the comments.
