Miley Cyrus Makes Headlines Bringing Boyfriend to Emotional ‘Hannah Montana’ 20th Anniversary Special Premiere
Miley Cyrus stepped onto the red carpet in Los Angeles for the world premiere of the Hannah Montana 20th anniversary special, marking a major moment for fans of the hit show. The event took place at the El Capitan Theatre just one day before the special is set to release on Disney+.
Cyrus arrived with people close to her, including her mother Tish Cyrus and her partner Maxx Morando. The premiere quickly turned into a reunion, with several cast members from the original series showing up to celebrate.
Among those present were Jason Earles, Moisés Arias, Shanica Knowles, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, and Cody Linley. Singer David Archuleta, who appeared in the show’s third season, also joined the event.

One familiar face was missing. Emily Osment, who played Lilly on the show, did not attend. She shared a message online explaining her absence, saying she is currently busy filming the series Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.
In her post, she reflected on her time on the show, writing, “Hannah Montana changed my life, it gave me a lifelong respect for this medium of comedy, it taught me discipline, patience, timing and respect working in an adult space so young.” She also thanked fans directly, adding, “I can’t tell you what your sweet messages mean to me and how lucky I feel to have been apart of this once in a generation goliath of a television show… Would never be where I am without you guys… With all my heart, THANK YOU!”
The red carpet also brought in other well-known names. Rei Ami, Willow Smith, Jaden Smith, Lainey Wilson, JoJo Siwa, Ilona Maher, and Dara Reneé were all spotted at the event.
The upcoming special is described as a “love letter to fans,” based on details shared by Deadline. It includes a long interview with Cyrus led by Alex Cooper from the Call Her Daddy podcast. The project was filmed with a live audience and will include old footage, guest appearances, and a new performance by Cyrus.
The release is expected to give fans a closer look at the show’s impact and bring back memories from one of Disney Channel’s most popular series.
This premiere feels like more than just a TV event. It shows how strong the connection still is between the show and its audience after all these years. Seeing the cast come back together makes it feel real and not just another reboot. What do you think about this reunion and the upcoming special? Share your thoughts in the comments.
